These past 2 wks, things settled. I began to sleep better, although still am not back to baseline.
We also sent to see my new OBGYN, Dr. Saul Stromer, who has an excellent bedside manner and gave off an air of competency...however Mark found out, upon our immediate return from his office, that he had some suits (9 counts to be exact) of negligence against him. Of course the confidence we had in him, was deflated almost immediately, and I had another night of sleepless worry. Eventually the sleeping improved, somewhat, and with it my mood. I also started going to the gym to swim more often, which helped both with my mood and sleep.
I had a PPD placed, which is safe during pregnancy -- I confirmed this with 3 sources:
CDC, the OBGYN and the Internist who placed the PPD. It was negative.
I find I am not as engaged at work, partially b/c of the fatigue I believe. Also, I am having some difficulty concentrating. I went to see the shrink, Dr. Marvin Aronson, who helped me with some of my anxiety -- I believe I actually have anxiety which stretches back quite a bit...but I won't get into that issue at this time. Just to mention that b/c of insurance coverage issues, I need to switch therapists, and just today have made an appt to see another doc, Dr. Jerome Kogan (who I find on the web, the same way I found Aronson) next week.
So onwards to week 4 (which is actually week 7)... and here's to a better week!
